(I booked my tickets a couple of days before, and just barely got the last seats the online system would allow me to have.)
Sorry I didn't take photos. currently kicking myself about it. I'll steal someone else's when they come up. (sorry.) Images are pulled from the interwebs.
First thing that I saw when we walked in was cosplayers. xD haha.
(I found it amusing that the place was packed with Miku, and though twilight was showing on the same time, only a single person had tickets for it.)
There was some spare time before it started, so we waited around and I signed the petition for the actual concert to be brought here. (I forgot to get my dad to sign it too. hn. oh well. hopefully just one won't make any different. here's to a proper live in London next year!)
So, we went to sit down, and after alot of people trying to decode the seating numbering, people going flying on the step infront of the screen, and more wigs than there was real hair, the above image disappeared from the screen, and everyone cheered, ready for them some Miku.
....and then there were advertisements. 8D *bricked*
So after what seemed like an eternity of some weird CMs for drinks, some film trailers, and a commercial for MikuBook, the concert began!
The show was opened with Hoshi no Kakera/Ballade_01, with a plain beautiful model of Append Miku and some quite pretty effects.
The first song was Kocchi Muite Baby. ;A; Prior to going I hadn't checked what songs there were, so one of my favourites first was really awesome.
I think some people behind me answered Miku's second Tadaima with an Okaeri!.
A couple songs I didn't know and then Rolling Girl. This got quite a reaction from people in the cinema~
I don't really remember the order of Miku's next songs since I think all of them up until Rin's I didn't know the titles. (I swear I've heard them before though)
From there, Rin appeared, with Iroha Uta.
And then-
"Saa, Hizamazuki nasai!"
Aku no Musume~
At about the part about the prince
I tried to find on YT and screenshot my favourite part of the choreography, but maybe seems the camera angles were different in the cinema because I'm pretty sure I've seen this clearly. hn.
Despite the fact there are songs I like better, this was definitely my favourite of the night.
Elaborate costumes, modelling, and choreography. This was love.
Did I mention the squeals that erupted in the cinema when Len first appeared? xD
Next was Fire◎Flower, and ohmai I could've cried. I really had to try hard not to burst out singing along.
(I sang a little, though.~)
This song has so many memories of my early vocafandomness ;A; And the lyrics mean alot, and...ahhh.
It's not evident on youtube, but with the cinema's speakers, holy vocasomethings Len's deep voice.
I think I just noticed how much better it is to see it in a cinema than on yt, because on yt it seems the best parts of the Kagamines' choreography is all zoomed way out on and it's just no visible. (like Len's 'if our first kiss' move, and the above Rin-Len Servant-Princess pose.)
The Kagamine's appearance was brief but I think it was made best out of the whole concert.
After Len's Fire Flower, Rin appeared again, with that song that goes, zen zen something nai xD; *fail*
That song is really cute though. Gotta look it up later.
Anyway, then there was Hajimete no Koi ga Owaru Toki.
xD; was I the only one singing 'Arigatou, Sayonara'?
Then there was Gekishou.
The realisticness of Miku really clashed with the modelling and animation of the wings...xD;
The effects were still nice in any case though. xD
Luka was round about next, she got even less screentime than the Kagamines but she got a really big entrance with Rip=Release to make up for it.
Then was Luka Luka Night Fever. xD at this point, there was someone with a Just Be Friends (Luka with the flower crown) wig practically dancing along in her seat.
There was PoPiPo and then some, and--YELLOW! I didn't expect this to be here, and having suddenly fell in love again with it recently, I really enjoyed it. xD
In a song after the band was introduced by Miku.
A good portion of the audience in the cinema clapped when the keyboard player was introduced, but in all honestly, I completely missed the name in all of Miku's pitchyness.
There was the last song, Melt (Lasuto!), then ColourfulxMelody, then the saigo (final, I love how they did this, they made Miku sound dead serious like 'this is really it, okay?' xD) and then...uh, Ai wo~ *bricked for not knowing the song*
The show closed with Hoshi no Kakera again.~
I'm going to reference another blog now because I simply cannot word this better myself-
Apparently, traditional movie theater rules don't apply when you're watching a Miku concert screening. Noise is okay. Standing up isn't even that big of a deal. Waving your glow sticks above your head is a must.
I would've said more about the other attendees and the crowd's reactions to things, but I literally was sitting directly infront of the screen, as those were the only seats available. So other than a quick glance behind me or next to me (or hearing those Len-induced screams), I have no idea what everyone else was doing. xD;
The concert: I couldn't help but smile the whole way through. It was so awesome. The only thing in the world that could top that would be a proper vocaconcert. My Puni, I think I've fallen in love with Len all over again.
Everyone else: approximately three full cosplayers and alot of people wearing wigs. Mostly around my age but there were quite a few older. ( I spotted Gumi. Why come an Internet Co. vocaloid to a Crypton concert? xD; )
The guy next to me...I was wondering when he was finally going to crack and actually openly enjoy the concert.
I don't think it happened.
Overall: It was too short. It went so fast...I wanna go again. ;A;
